2014 – UR-105: The Knight’s Watch

The UR-105 was born from armor. Inspired by the iconic medieval knight’s helmet, this timepiece became URWERK’s modern-day shield: a protective cover concealing a satellite display system, ready to be revealed with a swipe of the finger.

From this powerful foundation came three distinct evolutions—each with its own heartbeat, philosophy, and movement architecture.

The UR-105 collection is URWERK’s modern-day suit of armor—a timepiece inspired by the silhouette of a knight’s armour, built to protect and reveal its wandering hours display like a mechanical secret. It began with the UR-105M, a manual-wind marvel powered by pure tension and tradition. With armor-like front plates, a 120-degree satellite display, and back-mounted power reserve and seconds indicators on the back and side of the case. It was a tribute to the wearer’s direct connection with time.

Then came the UR-105TA, the 'Turbine Automatic' where dual air turbines on the caseback allowed the user to regulate rotor efficiency—full, reduced, or stop—adding kinetic personalization to its bold colorways.

The final evolution, UR-105CT, reimagined the case with a Hunter style–inspired sliding top cover, revealing a sleek digital-like satellite display and reengineered mechanics beneath.

Together, the M, TA, and CT variations trace a journey through URWERK’s vision of time—where design, control, and storytelling come together in wearable machines that don’t just tell time, but transform it.
